ユニアデックス、ネットマークス 「インフラトータルサービス企業」を目指し、合併統合

事業展開/協業・提携

日本ユニシス株式会社（本社：東京都江東区、社長：黒川 茂、以下 日本ユニシス）は、日本ユニシスグループのユニアデックス株式会社（本社：東京都江東区、社長：入部 泰、以下 ユニアデックス）と、株式会社ネットマークス（本社：東京都江東区、社長：佐藤 宏、以下 ネットマークス）を、2014年3月1日付けで合併統合します。存続会社はユニアデックスです。

背景

ICT技術の進展は情報化社会を次の世代へとシフトさせています。企業を始めとするICTのユーザーは、「クラウド」「モビリティー」「ソーシャル」「ビッグデータ」などを活用することで、マーケティング／販売や研究開発、製造やサービスなどあらゆる場面で新たな展開を図ろうとされています。これらの動きはICTサービスプロバイダーに対し、ICTの要素である「サーバー」「ネットワーク」「デバイス」などを統合的に取り扱い、企画・構築から運用・保守までトータルにサービスすることを求めています。
日本ユニシスグループは、グループのICTインフラ、クラウドおよびネットワークの技術資産を結集し連携を高めることで、この多様で高度な情報基盤を求める顧客ニーズに対応していきます。新年度におけるスタートダッシュを期して、3月1日に統合を実施します。

新会社の業容

これにより、新生ユニアデックスは、社員数約3,200名、売上高約1,300億円規模、そして国内180拠点、提携先を含めて130カ国以上の海外拠点を持つ企業となり、ICTインフラ領域を主戦場とする情報サービス業の中でもトップクラスの業容となります。

クラウドフェデレーションサービス

ワークスタイルの変革、機動力確保などの観点で、今後、企業ではオンプレミス環境とクラウドサービスを併用するハイブリッドの利用形態が主流となる。このとき、利用者と各クラウドサービスの間に位置し、データ連携・分散配置・マスターデータ管理・ジョブ自動実行・認証/アカウント連携などの機能を提供し、システムデザイン・プロビジョニング・運用を司る「クラウド連携サービス」として位置づけられる。

クラウド対応運用サービス

ハイブリッドクラウドでは、オンプレミス系とデータセンター系が混在し、運用管理は一段と高度なものになる。「クラウド対応運用サービス」は、このハイブリッドクラウドの場合においてもシームレスな運用を提供できるサービスとして位置づけられる。

Announcement of Merger between UNIADEX, Ltd. and Netmarks, Inc.- To be a Total Infrastructure Service Company -

Nihon Unisys, Ltd. (Headquarter: Koto-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Shigeru Kurokawa) today announced merger between its two subsidiaries. UNIADEX, Ltd. (Headquarter: Koto-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Yasushi Iribe) and Netmarks, Inc. (Headquarter: Koto-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Hiroshi Sato) are going to be united as of March 1st, 2014. Surviving company is UNIADEX, Ltd.

Background

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is growing and moving our information society to the next generation. ICT corporate users are utilizing "cloud", "mobility", "social", "big data" and such in order to develop their potential in marketing, sales, R&D, manufacturing, services and other business aspect. This kind of trend is requiring the ICT service providers to better incorporate "server", "network", and "device" as one service. A "total" service that oversees all stages from planning /development to operation/maintenance is now necessary.
Nihon Unisys Group aims to meet the ever increasing customer needs for a high quality services in various ways by consolidating the group ICT infrastructure and the cloud computing/network technology assets. The merger will take place on March 1st, 2014, just in time for a sure start for the new fiscal year beginning April 2014.

The new company

The newly born UNIADEX after the merger will have approximately 3,200 employees, 130 billion yen in annual sales with over 180 offices/locations in Japan and in over 130 countries around the world with the associated partners. This makes UNIADEX a top class corporation among the information service industry which emphasizes services in the ICT infrastructure field.

Increased value for the customer

New UNIADEX will provide the "overall" services in order to become the "Total Infrastructure Service Company" which provide newest solutions and services globally keeping high Japanese quality.

    • The customer benefits both from the current UNIADEX various multi-vender/multi layer services and from the current Netmarks high level network integration services seamlessly at the same time.
  • New Solutions and Services
    • By fusing the technologies of the two companies, new solutions and services are created, such as "Cloud Federation Service" and "Cloud-based Operation Service" that assist advanced clients utilize multiple cloud computing.
  • Global Support Service
    • Customer's ICT infrastructure is supported in midst of ever increasing need for the global business strategy.
    • This is possible by securing the uniformed service networks among Japan, United States, Europe and Asia due to the consolidation of the two companies' domestic locations, Netmarks' Asian locations, and the U.S. Unisys Corporation's worldwide support/ locations.

Nihon Unisys Group is determined to be the "Service Aggregator". In order to do so, in addition to the current businesses being offered, we will continue to create new services in the application development, in advancement in the public foundation business, and in development of the marketing platform fields. This merger will in fact expand the foundation for such advancement, and will strengthen the overall group ability to evolve.
